14 days of freedom, starting...now. Been raking in the hrs b4 heading up country yesterday, with a pulled back muscle & 4 hrs of sleep under my belt. But all is well, & am looking very forward 2 a week of farm-sitting and then another of not doing much of anything. Only mum & me here, dad still gallivanting around the globe, last I heard he was on a party cruise, on the Nile. I can only imagine.This was initially going 2 b my Germany trip, but that's obviously not happening. This year, anyway. Looooong story. But I'm ok with it, and am mapping out Plan B.
Am maybe, maybe thinking bout heading over there 4 Oktoberfest with my Swedish lady, but will c how the situation is by then. And how my Visa is by then, haha. Not so hot after my little visit 2 the Estee Lauder counter yesterday...
Been being very good; running every single day the past 2 weeks. Found a new running buddy just round the corner from me, who shares my k9 obsession (And my views on vaccinations. And microwaves. And ever so much more). So we alternate between running her dog, and running the pound dogs. We also share a passion 4 beer & cigarettes. Makes 4 fun combos. Our last run ended us at the liquor store, schlepping home a 6 pack, & smoking on the porch. In our defence, it was a game night, so anything goes.
Just realized that next yr is my 10 yr reunion. R we that old already...
Not that I'm going. Probably the most excruciatingly painful yrs of my life. Reason #536 y I don't want 2 stay here: the public school system. Atrocious.
Now am about 2 call the SPCA and ask them y exactly the police in the next town r not required 2 call Animal Control when busting grow-ops. Instead they seem 2 think it is acceptable 2 pepper spray them & lock them in a bathroom 4 up 2 2 days. I will then proceed 2 write seething letters 2 anyone who will listen (cops, newspaper, etc), and c what results I get. That is my latest peeve.
I'm a huge SPCA caller. If ur dog is chained, and has no water or shelter, I am all over it. They kno me by name. And that's how it should b.
Off 2 town 4 some edibles, after a morning of flinging hay bales (with a pulled back muscle..) and spending time with my 2 favourite hounds. Ok, and I was on Facebook. But just 4 a teeny bit.

You mentioned reason #536 as being atrocious public school system.
I thought reason #536 was that postage stamps here have a funny taste.
I am curious about how many reasons you have in total. Is it in the 4 figures? Five?

I love pound puppies, my boyfriend and I just took one of the stay kitties that we adopted sortof to the SPCA because Dana found him liking a horrible wound on his side, a vet visit was made but it was too much money and they couldnt tell us for sure what happened so we thought what would be best. Poor thing,so sweet too but dane asked a few neighbours and apparently some ass is shooting cats in his back yard with a pelet gun because they are eating the birds. wild bird out side cat thats what they do. Idiot. Cops, SPCA, Humane Society no one can help us cause there is no actual proof which neighbour. some people. now sorry for the rant.
I got a bit side tracked there. But our 10yr is coming up. Eeeek. I dont know if I really want to go to that one. I loved high school so much that I voted on not going to prom. Who knows. What if my staker shows up there. She made high school suck or was that the pot.mmmm
